Memorial Day weekend was packed full of projects. Saturday evening I had a banquet to cater in FtW. As you can see I had a great team of helpers. Andrea and Pops opted not to wear the hats, but Todd and grandma wore them proudly. Thanks to Chris we did not have to worry about miss toot. She enjoyed playing with him and the dogs.
We stayed in FtW that evening with grandma and pops. It was time to celebrate another birthday. Grandma turned 68 this year, and boy do I hope that when I am that close to 70 that I have her energy and active lifestyle. I am so blessed with such a wonderful, godly mother! She is such a great example of what a good Christian wife, mother and grandmother should be. I have a lot to live up to!!
Sunday afternoon we celebrated her day and then Todd had to go to the store for a party. Sam and I went and had dinner with our friend Susan. She was in from New York and picked the most fabulous place to eat, Rise. It is a souffle place. It was so yummy and so cute. You can find it at Inwood Village, and I highly recommend it. I just had a salad and the praline pecan souffle. If I go back, I would definitely have the marshmallow soup. The others got it and it was so yummy.
Monday we had a full house at the store for open bounce. We offered a special discount in honor of those that serve or have served our country. That afternoon we celebrated with a few of our friends. It was simple and sweet, but was really nice to just hang out with a few friends. We got to pull out one of Sam's birthday presents from Vickie and Dean. All of the kids seemed to enjoy it. Boy how life has changed. i think there were almost as many kids as adults. Of course the Ackerman's having triplets added to the kid count.
She loves to bring Todd's basketball in from the garage. She puts it in her chair and then climbs up on top of it. If it falls out she starts the process all over again, all the while saying, "ball, ball"
