We hope every one had a great Thanksgiving. This was Sam's very first Thanksgiving, and she had FUN!!
Mom came over Tuesday to help me plant my flowerbeds and then Sam and I went back to FtW with her. Todd joined us Wednesday when he got off work. We were going to go to the zoo on Wednesday, but the weather was a little yucky. Instead she spent the day with her aunt Andrea and her cousins - Ryan, Taylor and Reid. Grandma and I went running a few errands to prep for Thursday. WE also had to pick up our Turkey Trot packets. We all decided to get up early early Thursday morning and get a little exercise. Wednesday evening we celebrated my birthday with all of my family - ELk Fajitas - YUM YUM. They were so tender!!
Sam decided to wake up about 1 in the morning and was ready to play. She was pretty much up the rest of the night. We were both up with her, but Todd allowed me to get a few hours sleep at the end. Needless to say, he stayed home instead of doing the trot. The Turkey Trot was a lot of fun. They had over 10,000 people participate this year. I will definitely be doing that again.
We spent the rest of the day preparing our feast. Andrea's neighbors joined us, as well as, my cousins Gary, Max and Chris. Todd fried the turkey again. - Awesome Job!!
We had so much yummy food, and Sam tried it all. Fried Turkey, Sweet potato casserole, green beans, Aunt Andy's homemade mac and cheese and grandma's yummy dressing. I think someone also fed her some chocolate pie:))
It was a good time with family. This morning Todd got up at the butt crack of dawn and went to Walmart. We needed a TV for the BU lobby. They had a 40in LCD for $600. He came out on top there, but got denied at Fry's. They had a laptop for $299 and a Desktop for $299. We need both for BU. By the time he got over there they were gone. I was going to try to go and help, but we just were not sure how to do it with Sam. Next year we will get it all figured out!!
Here are a few pics from the weekend. I forgot the memory sitck out at home, so I wasn't able to get many. Fortunately, mom had her camera and shared.
