We are back after a nice relaxing weekend in New Orleans. We had a great time. Sam got an opportunity to meet her great grandmother, her great uncles and cousins. We also got a chance to catch up with several of Todd's friends and families. We visited some of my favorite spots - Cafe Du Monde - YUM!! I wanted to go to Mitendorf's but thanks to Ike, those plans were out the window. We were going to meet his friends, Mike, Jerri and their kids, there, but the road was flooded. We ended up meeting them in Hammond. We had a yummy dinner there. I think my favorite was the blackened gator tail. Although I still had a craving for soft shell crab. In order to satisfy that, we were going to go to Drago's. I don't like oysters, but they have the best charbroiled oysters!! It didn't matter, because they were closed on Sundays and because of Gustav and Ike. We ended up going to Acme Oyster House instead. Todd's mom and I split an order of soft shell crab and stuffed crabs. It was so good!!
Anyway, here are a few pics from the weekend.
On another note - Sam is sitting up beautifully:) Here is a little video of that. Of course in the process of her learning to sit up, she fell and hit her head on the leg of the jumperoo - bad mommy. She has her first little bruise:(
