She is growing so fast now. This is her unofficial update. When I weighed her at home she was just a little over 14lbs. I don't know how long she is, but everyone seems to think she is long. So far she has been average at her appointments. We finally got rid of that funky rash she had, but have her follow up appointment with Carla tomorrow. She had to call us in another cream - $4, and it seemed to do the trick. She eats like a champ. So far we have had, Apples, Bananas, pears, peaches, papaya and avocado for the fruits. Vegetables - carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans and butternut squash. I just made some parsnips, rutabaga and peas, but we haven't tried those yet. I made them up tonight, so we will try them over the next few weeks. The parsnips and rutabaga are good mixed with the other root veggies. Not sure about them on their own. She is a piglet and gets so mad when I run out of food. So far there hasn't been anything that she doesn't like. The only thing i haven't made so far has been the prunes - that is another thing we have tried. Of course they are not having the desired effect I would like for her:)
She still loves to jump in her jumperoo. I really don't know where we would be without that thing. She really missed it while we were in New Orleans. She would sit in your lap or on Todd's leg and try to jump. It was pretty funny. As you can see from the video below, she is really getting good at sitting up. We are still working on that tooth, but I think it is getting closer. I still don't see much, but all of my friends say they can see/feel it there. They said it should not be long before it comes through. - That will remain to be seen. She has started sleeping on her tummy - Thanks to Dan Huff( my new hero). Now that she spends more time on her tummy she has started "swimming" and scooting. I imagine it won't be too long before she gets a little crawling going on. My other new hero is Jerri - she is a nurse. While we were in New Orleans, we were talking about how she keeps waking up in the middle of the night. She asked me if I was feeding her solids before putting her to bed. The answer was no, just breast milk. I just feed her solids 3X a day. She said that could be the problem, and that I should try giving her just a little bit of solids before bed. Nothing too heavy or it will keep her up. She said that now she is used to getting more and the breast milk may not be enough to sustain her through the night. She may actually be hungry - imagine that:) We started trying that and it seems to be working!! Thank you Jerri!!
She is still liking her school - she has only been twice:) Both times she has been laughing and smiling when I pick her up. I guess that is about it for now
