Labor Day Weekend

Sam's first Labor Day holiday was a lot of fun. First we had to worry about her Grammy and Papi not getting blown away by hurricane Gustav. Fortunately, they were safe and sound in Florida with Aunt Tiffany. Still waiting to hear how their house fared, but doesn't sound like there should be any damage. Gustav went just enough to the south and west not to cause any major damage. We get to fly to New Orleans in 2 weekends to visit them and check things out.

Friday, we went with Sarah and a couple of her other friends to Canton. Not sure what we were thinking as it was miserably hot. Regardless we had a great time with all the gals.
Saturday evening we went over to the Brower's, with the Mammina's, for dinner and a little Rock Band. Sam, Anthony and Izzie got to play for a little while. They are going to be such good friends. Anthony is all smiles and Izzie was trying to show both of them how things were done:) Rock Band was a lot of fun even though I wasn't very good. Needless to say, I am not so hot at the drums, but we had a good time regardless. You can see that Randall was really enjoying himself:) We may need one of those for our Wii:)
Sunday, We pulled out a new toy for Sam. Grandma and Pops gave her an Ebee's play mat set. She is finally old enough for it. (Can you believe that she is 5 months old now) She had fun playing on it. You can see that she is getting better at the whole sitting up thing. We are almost there. Of course she still loves the jumpero. I don't know what we would do without that thing!! Todd watched Sam while I went out with the girls to celebrate Marlo's b-day. We got pedicures and then went back to Jill's house and made our own pizzas. It was fun hanging out with all the girls.
Monday, we mostly, hung out around the house and rested. That evening Vickie and Dean came over and we grilled and watched What happens in Vegas.
And for the record, the $64 diaper cream is not working:) We are now trying another one in combination with the vusion. Hopefully, this will take care of it.
