Sam's 4 Month Appointment

Here is the update on our beautiful daughter. As of today she weighs 13.1 lbs and is 25 inches. Wow how she has grown. She is still right on the 50% mark. Other than that everything looks great. We talked a little about the reflux and the zantac. We decided for right now to hold off on trying anything new. Even though she is spitting up quite a bit, she is not fussing as much as she was when she does it. We can try doing solids again, but I think we have decided to hold off on that for a little while longer as well. He said she is above average for a 4month old right now. He said she grabs objects quite well and has excellent control of her head. She is also moving around and rolling a lot for a 4 month old, as well as, standing up. What do we know, but that is what the Dr. says - so yeah!! We haven't ruined her yet:) She prefers to stand over sitting up. She is getting pretty close to being able to do it on her own - sit that is. Of course she still leans way forward, but she can old it for a few seconds before giving up. Her eyes are starting to change color just a little around the center, so we will have to wait and see what we get. She got a second round of the 2 shots she got last time today, and again was such a trooper. She did fine with them last time so we are not anticipating any problems. The tooth is still there. he said her gums are a little more swollen from when he saw her a few weeks ago. He said maybe in the next month or so it will poke on through. I think i would rather it just happen all at once instead of this long drawn out process. She chews on anything and everything like crazy. In fact today she gave herself a hickey on her arm from chewing and sucking. I think that is about it for now. Next Monday will be her first plane ride as we head out to Phoenix to see the Grand Canyon and go to training.
She is close to outgrowing her bassinet. I remember when she barely filled it up and now look at her. Once this weather cools off, we will move her upstairs. However, the upstairs unit set at 80 feels cooler than the downstairs unit at 76 - go figure. She still takes naps up there and seems to like it.
Here's a pic of Herculez because I think he feels left out:) Whenever she really starts crying, he leaves the room and finds a place to bury his head. It is kind of funny. I will have to try to get a picture.

Wierd...Anthony was 13-1 and 25 inches at his 4 month checkup too!!! Glad to hear that all is well. Hope issues with the reflux just get better from here on out.

She has officially passed up my girls on weight! Just barely though.

I didn't realize you stopped feeding her solids...

She rolls a lot? Mine don't roll - only Hannah can roll both ways.

Ours got two shots at their 6 month. :( They were not happy.

Have fun in Phoenix! Don't forget to BF in public!
