Mother's Day

Sunday we celebrated Mother's day. What a difference a year makes. last year Mother's day was a little sad for us, as we had just experienced the loss of our first child. That precious child is in Heaven and we look forward to meeting him or her one day. This year was much different. It was a time of rejoicing and celebration. Sam made her first trip to church, and did wonderfully. I also got the rose for the newest mother. She looked so cute in her little dress(thank you to Alicia and Michelle). However, I found out after she spit up all over the dress, that it is dry clean only. Honestly, who makes kid, for that matter baby, clothes dry clean only?? It will have to be a really special occasion to before she wears that dress again:) Todd was very sweet and made me breakfast in bed, or close to it:) I got breakfast while feeding the baby. The important thing was that he made it! He also brought me flowers. My mother's day present was a combination carried over from our anniversary and welcome to baby. A very sweet necklace - Journey Pendant. Although I told him next year he doesn't get to combine. They are separate events:) My mom, dad, sister and her family came over so we could all celebrate. I made a beef tenderloin and a wild mushroom risotto. It was yummy. Andrea brought a salad and mom got the bread. We all decided that next year, the boys are taking us out. We will cook for them on Father's day. Monday marked my first official day back with my clients. Let's just say it is not as easy as it once used to be:)
Today marks Sam's 6 week b-day. Just hard to believe that it has already been 6 weeks. Hopefully, I will get her birth announcements done before she is a year old. The Nursery is almost done. Just waiting on a few things. i did get the dresser and it is so cute. My sister did a great job, as usual. I am still waiting on the knobs I ordered, the light switch plates from Shannon and the thing for above her bed. I went ahead and took some pictures of what it looks like now. In the meantime, here are a few new pic's from the last week to enjoy:

She doesn't seem to like her bog swing, but the portable one is a favorite:))

Rosemary, my massage therapist, came over last night to show us how to give Sam a massage. If she is her mother's daughter, she will love them:) She liked the firsts part, but started to get a little fussy towards the end. Her little tumy has been upset the last few days, and she has had it a little rough.

It's amazing how much Sam is changing already. And the nursery looks SO cute. Ya'll have done a really good job. Sounds like your mother's day was a good one!
