Another week old. I still can't believe how time flies. She is doing much better this week. I really appreciate everyones prayers. I think a big part of her fussiness last week was she just wasn't getting enough to eat. Now that we have solved that problem she is much better. She is so strong. She does a great job holding her head up, and loves to kick her legs. I think she must have my legs because they are quite strong already. She loves to stand up in your lap or push off the chair. Todd said she almost flew out of his lap the other day. He wasn't quite prepared for the force with which she pushed. She is a very alert baby. She loves to look at the ceiling fan, and really enjoys spending time outside. She is finally starting to enjoy her swing. She actually fell asleep in it the other day. There may be hope for us yet.
Thanks to those of you that offered or gave me a few breaks this week. Yeah!! Suzanne took her today for a few hours while I went to my personal chef meeting and Laura and Eli are coming over tomorrow, so I can go get a little shopping done for a party I have on Saturday. Todd will be home tomorrow. We had our meeting today at Vintner's cellar and dinner was basically cheese, fruit and crackers. This is the first time I have had dairy since we figured out it is a problem for her. We will see how tonight goes. I may be cursing my own name in the morning, but hopefully not. I read in the breastfeeding book that Laura gave me, that sometimes cheese and yogurt don't seem to have the same effect as does milk and cream. Something about the way it is processed. We shall see tonight if that is true or not:)
It has been a real pleasure having Dana here this week too. She is mostly gone during the day, but is here in the evening. It gives me a little adult conversation, so I don't go crazy. She has her 36 week appointment tomorrow, and I think they will decide then when they will induce her.
Last night she had her first big outing during the 5 to 8 time. We went to FtW for Grandma's birthday. On top of that we went out to eat in public. It was a success! However, it was only thanks to my mom and sister that helped out keeping her happy. Also, going to an entertaining place helps. She liked the Hibachi man:)
She got a very special package today from Australia. My friend Zsuzsa sent her a very cute bath towel and onsie. I can't wait for her to get big enough to show it off. She will be styling in her Australian duds.
She also really loves to go for walks in the evening. Being that it has been so hot, I was a little hesitant taking her out, but it has really been quite pleasant in the early evening. It was a little bright yesterday, so she needed to wear her sunglasses. Here are a few more pic's to enjoy from her last week.
