On Saturday afternoon we had our newborn care/infant CPR class. It was very informative. We learned how to give a bath, when to call the doctor, how to calm a crying baby etc... I think most importantly, was the CPR part of the class. Hopefully, we will never need that, but we are prepared should we need it. If you need help swaddling your baby, your can ask Todd for help. He had the tightest blanket in the class!! However, you baby may not have a head when he is done. I think practicing on a doll will be much different than the real thing.
While I won't be officially 30 weeks until Friday, but I had my 30 week appointment this morning. So far so good. Everything looks great and I am still measuring a perfect "textbook" pregnancy. Kind of scary. Little Fifi was not a fan of the Doppler today. Wherever the nurse moved it, she would move to kick it. It was quite entertaining. It is hard to believe that we are at the 10 week and counting mark. So much left to do. On a good note, Todd got the stripes finished - well he has a little touch up to do from where we took the tape off, but it looks good. We also got the cabinet painted yesterday. Shannon was back on Saturday and got some detail work done. You can see that she started on the markings for Herculez and got the little girls hat done. The shopping bags are now done minus the writing. She hasn't decided what that will be yet. She will be back this coming weekend to do a little more work.
My mother in law and 2 sister in laws will be coming in town Friday for our first shower. We are really excited that they are all able to be there. Kim is bringing a King Cake - YUM!!!!!
On another good note - Todd had a second interview with Cadbury-Schwepps on Tuesday. It went really well and they have ask him back for a 3rd interview tomorrow. He will be interviewing with the guy that would be his direct boss. He is really excited about this opportunity, so pray that all goes well. We also meet tomorrow afternoon with the landlord of the building we are hoping to rent. We sent back our revised version of the lease on Monday. We will be talking tomorrow about a few of the major things we need to iron out in order to make this a done deal. Please pray that all goes well.
I officially opened a business account today. While I have been in business for 2 years now, I haven't gotten around to having a separate account. Over the summer Todd and I incorporated both of our businesses. Now I can officially receive and write checks as Dashing Dinners, Inc.
