Christmas parties.... and more

Wednesday night, I had my Christmas party with my bunco group. It was at Tamara's house and we had a yummy chicken lasagna. I had missed the previous 2 months, so it was good to see everyone and catch up. We do an ornament exchange, and it was really difficult this year because there were so many cute ones to "Steal" from.
Thursday night, we had our Christmas party with our Community group - Feliz Navidad!! We decided to do a Mexican theme this year and have a Fiesta. As you can see we had a good time, eating, exchanging gifts and remembering why we celebrate this season - the birth of Jesus Christ!!

Tonight we catering our last Christmas party of the season - thank goodness:)) I am ready for a break. We are doing an interactive dinner party tonight, so that should be fun. Something a little different. Not near as much prep for me, as they will be doing most of the cooking.
This weekend will be some time for some much needed R&R, since we will not be going to New Orleans. Todd has to work on Monday:(, but Monday night we will go to Christmas Eve service and then Tuesday head to Fort Worth to spend Christmas Day with my family. Todd has to work again on Wednesday, so it will be back to the grind stone for him.
We are starting to realize that we have lots left to do before little Fifi Gigi arrives. Shannon is coming back tomorrow to start painting the mural - I am so excited!! We still need to finish painting the bathroom, the cabinets in the bathroom and the changing table and baskets. We need to make a final decision on which bed we are going to use, so if we need to paint it we can. I need to clean out the closet in her room, so we have a place to put the fancy clothes she is getting - and on and on and on.... So the list begins. I know we have 3 months, but I have a feeling it is going to come and go very quickly!! Todd's mom is working on the bedding and we are excited to see that come together as well. My sister is working on the dresser and I can't wait to see how that turns out. She is so talented!!! I found some really cute stuff at Hobby Lobby the other day for her room.
I also got a little pink crystal chandelier. WE don't want to take the fan down, so we will have to decide where to hang it.

As for the house and Bounce U - doesn't appear that the house is going to close again this month - ahhhh! The good news is that this last week we had a lot of showings, so maybe another buyer will pop up. As for Bounce U, we are still dealing with 3 locations. We could probably make a decent deal with the Kidz Muze people, but have put them on hold for now, to see if they will come down just a little more. Since we have to other open avenues, our realtor thought that was the best way to go with them. We finally heard back from the old K-Mart location - our 1st choice. However, we are pretty far apart on price. Unless, by some miracle, we can get closer, looks like this one is not going to work out. Our realtor is supposed to be meeting with them to make a final and best offer. The Colony location is by far the best financial situation for us, but it is so close to the edge of our territory, and the possible location for the Frisco Bounce U, that it would take some major work to get the deal done. The people that own Frisco and Plano, would need to be willing to give up a couple of their zip codes to make it worth our while. The Plano people might, but I doubt the Frisco people would as the 2 locations are so close together, plus we would have to have special permission from Bounce U to have them that close. Just continue to pray that God will work out the details. It is very frustrating as we are really ready to get moving!!
