Sam has had the worst diaper rash as of late. It comes and goes, but the last few weeks it has just been raw. I feel so bad for her. We have tried EVERYTHING!! no diaper and just sunlight, Burts, Boudreaux, Dr. Smith's, California Baby, aquaphor, etc.. etc...The thing that worked the best was probably the aquaphor, but it just keeps coming back. She is teething, so without going into to much detail, she has had some not so fun diapers. They are almost like acid. It is just awful, and we feel so bad for her. So I called my friend Melanie today. She said we were doing everything we could and that Sam must just have a sensitive booty. She offered one other suggestion - not a medical one, but a home remedy - and thank the Lord she did. Her mom used to pop vitamin E pills and use them on her as a kid. i remember my mom doing that for cuts and burns for us. I ran up to the store to get some. At this point in life i will try anything. Anyway after just one diaper change, her bottom is almost completely cleared up. It was amazing. Vitamin E - My new diaper rash cure. Why don't we just go natural to begin with?
On another note, the swing set is finished!! and Sam is a happy happy camper. She would swing all day if we would let her. She keeps going over to the back door now trying to open it to go out. She stands at the door and says "swi, swi". She's been playing in the fort part of it for a while. Now that there is a swing and slide, she is in hog heaven - thanks grandma and pops!!
We are also working on eating with a fork and spoon. She is getting pretty good, but we still have a looooong way to go:) She likes trying. She is talking more and more these days and we are evening starting to understand a lot of it. Most of it is still babble though. Now we have:
mama and dada
mostly doggie for both aggie and herculez. she tries to say their names. Aggie is better than herc, but she si trying:)
cracker
snack
bir for bird(her favortie thing to find outside)
kitty and Booboo(vickies cat)
ball
boon for balloon
choo for shoes
Melmo for Elmo(her favorite)
moow for mouth and beep beep for nose:))(from sesame street)
ode ode ode means I want that!
peas for please and ank ooo for thank you
she says ni ni for night night
and has gotten pretty good at bye bye
She has a few more, but that is all I can think of for now.
She definitely knows where her nose, ears and mouth are. We are still working on eyes. She blows kisses. Every once in a while she will give a kiss, but mostly she just says makes a maw sound. Shes likes to get our socks and attempt to put them on our feet, and she was so excited when I bought her new socks the other day with her shoes. We put the socks on her feet and she held her feet out and wiggled her toes. It was so cute. She was so proud of them. I think that just about catches us up to date.
Life at BounceU is slow, but we are praying that business picks up now that school is about to be back in session. This was our last week of our crazy summer schedule. I am looking forward to what is next. We will have fewer weekly activities, I will be just as busy trying to drum up new business - that we desperately need!!
Heres a few pics

She definitely has a big vocabulary! Go Sam! Mine are doing better with their vocab but they are still behind. :( And Go Sam with learning the body parts - mine still don't have that down either.
The swing set looks fun!
We are going through the same thing with Whitney and her "teething diapers". She is constantly dirty it seems like and her poopies are so acidic. Her little bottom is so irritate, she just cries when we change her, but not a real bad diaper rash....yet! I don't think you said, what do you mix the vitamin E pill with before you put it on her bottom? Aquaphor? I may try this.
