Target - DON"T DO IT!!!!

A word of advice to anyone getting married or having a baby - Don't register at Target. It is an awful experience!!!! I went yesterday to try to return a couple of duplicate things we got and exchange a few items for a different size. Targets new policy is that if you don't have a receipt, you cannot return anything over $20 period. Then you are allowed only $20 in a 12 month period with no receipt. We had 2 humidifiers and wanted to return one. Their advice was to try to sell one on ebay - can we say rude!! Also, there is no exchange. Several of the items I had I only wanted to exchange for a different size, but without a receipt you are not allowed to. Unfortunately, most of the things I was trying to return or exchange I did not have gift receipts for them. Some of the clothes were really cute, but I know she won't be wearing the long sleves in Texas, in July, August and September - not if she is mine and Todd's kid:)) All we wanted was a different size. So frustrating!!! Honestly, what is the point of registering there?? I could go on and on, but I know some of you know what I am talking about. I should have listened to the advice I was given not to register there. However, when you know not everyone has access to Babies-R-Us, you feel the need to add another place. I really just don't think it is worth the headache!!! Just remember that if you buy someone a gift from Target - give them the gift receipt and make life easier!!!
