Kind of scary that we only have 7 weeks left to go. We still have so much to do. I got a call from the doctor last week about my induction schedule. They gave me a new date. If she has not arrived by April 8th, then we will be going in at 5 am that morning to start the process. Please pray that she will come on her own before then as we would really prefer not to be induced. We are going to ask at our appt this week if we can at least move that back to the 10th. That will give her a full week to make her entrance on her own.
We are slowly but surely getting everything together. My sister is working on the dresser, Todd's mom has finished the bumpers for the bedding and is working on the liners for the baskets. Todd and I have to get everything in a place and find a place for everything.
Last weekend we started our childbirth classes. We heard a lot about the hospital classes kind of being a waste of time, but we found them to be very helpful. Maybe taking them at Allen Presby is different. We were told in our class about the differences just in the Presby hospitals - what is allowed and prohibited etc... Allen is very family friendly. It probably helped that our instructor is a former Doula. She was really great.
Last weekend was also my sister's 40th b-day. We had a big party for her over in FtW. It was great. We had it at Blue Mesa. I highly recommend using them. The prices were very reasonable and it was so easy!! You can see we had a great time. My sister decided she wanted to relive her HS years and got back to the 80's. Unfortunately, we were not able to go out with them afterwards. Todd had been sick the week before, so we needed to come home and get to bed.
Todd was gone most of last week to Phoenix for the Bounce U annual conference - U Fest. From what I can tell, he had a great time. he met a lot of people and learned a great deal about the business. He was also able to get a peak at some of the new equiptment that will be rolled out this year. That is great for us as we now have more options for our location. Some of the items are really great and very different from anything our competitors will have. You may be wondering where we are in the process. Unfortunately, we are still in lease negotiations. We are supposed to be meeting with Leslie on Sunday to review the revised lease that was returned to us. We were not able to do this earlier because Todd was sick and then gone all last week. hopefully, there will not be any big deal breakers, but we will see. We also have to make sure that the city will permit the site for our slated use.
Todd heard from Cadbury-Schweeps last week as well. Don't know what God's plan is for us, but at this time it doesn't appear to be that. Unfortunately, they just went into a hiring freeze. As much as they liked him and were interested in hiring him, they have to put everything on hold until April or May. Just a little more testing of our faith. Keep praying about a job for him. He was really excited about this possibility.
No real update on the mural as Shannon was sick. She was able to come for a little while last Saturday and got some more of the green finished. She was not able to come today, as she was still recovering. next week she has VASE (as she calls it the Jr League of the art world:)), so it will be the 1st weekend in march before she can return.
Last night, after I picked Todd up from the airport, we meet some friends to celebrate Amanda and Dean's b-days. We were supposed to eat at Fireside Pies, but after waiting for an hour and a half for our table and there was still no sign of one to come, we went over to Fox Sports Grill. The manager at FSP was actually pretty rude to Amanda when she ask about the table. We had a good time at Fox.
I have my next Dr.'s appt on Tuesday. I think this will be the last of my 2 week appts. My next one should start my once a week. They will be trying to determine this week her position and size. Hopefully she is doing what she needs to and will be working her way to head down. I will let you know.

Hey there! I just checked in to see the mural and read about your induction date being moved up 5 days. Don't feel like they can "make you" induce. You don't have to if you don't want to. You're in charge of your labor. If your sonogram dates show a later due date, you could use that approach, as well. That's how we bought a few more days' time with Aidan. He was 9 days later than my first due date and 5 days later than my sonogram due date. He only weighed 7 pounds, so it's not like he was huge.
Hope that's helpful. Stephanie
