Labor Day Weekend

Todd's sister, Tanya, and her family came in town this weekend. We had quite a fun filled weekend. Saturday we made a stop at the Wiggly Play Place in Frisco. Matthew loves the Wiggles. Unfortunately, he was a little worn out from his road trip and lack of a nap. However, we think he still had a good time. He mostly enjoyed driving around in "The Big Red Car", and watching the them on TV. We finally got to cash in our La Ha card and got a free meal. We know how much Todd loves free things:)) Matthew stayed entertained with the ponies out front. On Sunday, we decided to go to the water park, so we took them to NRH2O. It is the North Richland Hills Water park. if you haven't been, i highly recommend it. It is very family friendly and most importantly, FUN!! I do not suggest taking your camera unless it is water proof. Tanya and David learned why. We thought we would be good taking a few pictures of the guys on the slides. In the Splashatory, there is a big bucket at the top that periodically dumps water. There is no dry spot when the bucket dumps. Tanya was all poised to get a great shot, only I noticed a little too late that the bucket was dumping. Tanya and I both got soaked, as did their camera. All in all the day was a huge success. Matthew had a blast sliding, swimming and playing in the water. We don't get to see them as often as we like, so it was really great spending time with them and seeing Matthew have such a great time. We were pretty tired after spending a pretty full day at the park. At only 3 years old, i would say Matthew is definitely picked up the best of the Gonzalez traits - ICE CREAM. His choice was pretty easy as they had a clown cone, only to him it was Elmo. Whatever, makes you happy:)) Don't know about the Rhodes, but Todd and I were pretty tired after the long weekend. We were ready for a NAP. I will say one thing for being pregnant - and I Am Tired all the time!! I'm not complaining as I have not been sick. Good news is that my sciatic nerve is much better. The physical therapy seems to be doing the trick. What a praise and answer to prayer!!

It felt like an early Christmas too. Tanya and David have been saving all kinds of baby goodies for us, so they brought up what they could fit this weekend. I think we are off to a great start! They brought up the pack-n-play, a Baby Trend infant carrier and base, plus they have the snap and go stroller to go with it, and some kind of little play gym thing. No, i don't know all the technical terms yet and probably never will. Not really my thing:) They have all kinds of other fun things, but they wouldn't fit this trip. We have a bed from my sister, but they have a great bed as well. I think if we have a boy, I will use m sisters bed, and if we have a girl, then i will use their bed. One is light wood and the other is dark. We also got a glider, changing table, exersaucer and an abundance of Thomas the train stuff (that came in quite handy for Matthew) from my sister. Sometimes it can be a bonus to be the last one having kids!! If we have a boy, we will be set for quite a while, as Tanya and David have tons of clothes and "boy" toys. I'll add some pics from the water park when I get them from Tanya and David.

Looks like you guys had a fun and eventful weekend. And yes, I think you did great remembering what all the baby stuff is called. Trust me, after you spend hours and hours upon end registering and studying every single thing in the store, you will be an expert. You really have gotten a lot of stuff handed down to you...that is great. We registered for the baby trend snap and go also (the double and the single), it gets very good reviews.
