I keep saying I am going to get better about this, but as you can see this is just not the case. Anyway, we have been busy busy bees. Sam is growing up so fast. I can't believe she will be 2 in just a 2 more months. She is definitely talking a lot more, and trying to make sentences. We are taking music classes again this semester at her school, and lets just say that a few months makes all the difference in the world. Our first class back was very entertaining - for sure!! She was so excited about being there. Of course she got made at me when I took the shakers away from her. She would listen to the teacher, which is good - I suppose. All the other kids would sit in their parents laps, but as I would move closer to her she would move away, and tell me NO. Boy does she have attitude or what!! I am really not sure where she learns these things. Some of her favorites: playing outside is still #1 on her list, writing with her sidewalk chalk, playing with her Elmo dominoes, coloring and finger painting and of course playing with the big kids at BounceU. She is getting really good on all the equipment.
We went on a playdate to MetroPlex Gymnastics in Allen with my MOMS group. Sam had a blast. She loved running up and down the trampoline, and playing on the sit and spin. We may have to get her one of those for her birthday!! We ran into a little trouble on the big trampoline because she doesn't quite understand the whole waiting her turn thing. They whole entire time they let more than one kids jump. Then the last 20 min or so, someone came over and made them go one at a time. Boy did that cause major issues. After 5 min of fighting with her, it was finally her turn. Then she did not want to jump because she wanted to jump with someone else. Ahhh - so frustrating. We are finally etting a few more teeth. She is still missing one of her front 4 on the bottom, but the doctor says that is more common that people know, as is having 5 instead of 4. Oh well. The eye teeth are coming in now, and that is always fun!!
Last weekend, was Rodeo time, my sister b-day and a Super Bowl win for the Saints!!
She was so cute in her little pink boots. I went to Sprinkles and got some cupcakes to celebrate the day, and OH what a day it was!! and then.... POTTY TRAINING
Not sure what I was thinking. I listened to all the advice that 22 months is the ideal time to do it. I can't say that I disagree, because I think she is finally making progress. 3 days - not so much for her, but it was amazing how different day 3 was. They say starting earlier is better because you get less resistance. I think that only applies if you child is not highly independent!! If that was the goal then we needed to start with Sam the day she was born - HA!! We will see how it goes. We are not giving up, just knowing it is a process.
Today we took a little break for a few hours to play in the snow and run a few errands. Good news was that in that time, she had no accidents - YEAH!!
Here are a few pictures to catch you up

Glad you have updated us. Cute pics. Good luck on the potty training. I hadn't heard that if you train early they are less resistant, makes sense though since they are less independent at younger ages. I have always heard if parents try to train before the child is ready it is very frustrating for all and the child goes backwards and less eager to train and it takes longer. I know without a doubt my kids aren't ready since they aren't talking much etc. and I'm fine with that because neither am I! :) Good luck, I hope she continues to do well.
she is definitely ready. She has been going into the bathroom since 18 months and pretending to go. SHe totally knows what she is doing and not doing. When we ask her where her peepee goes she points to and says - potty - yeah!! sometimes she makes it there and sometimes not. We are making baby steps, but those first 2 days I was ready to quit. Something clicked on day 3 and she did great. I got frustrated with her today, but it was more me than her. I think it is probably frustrating at any age:)I will send you the info that I have. It has a whole section on multiples. I would recommend it. Some of my firends did it in 3 days, some in 2 and others in a week. It just takes patience, so I would definitely say don't do it until you patience tank is full, and you can be home for a week with not other obligations!!
Have you taught her Mexican Train yet???
