A Trip Down Memory Lane

Can you believe that one year ago today, our sweet baby girl was born. Now she seems so grown up. I look at some of the clothes I bought her a year ago thinking I can't believe that she will ever be able to wear that - sure enough they fit:( She has been such a true blessing to us. God knew exactly what He was doing. While she may not always be an angel, it has been so fun watching her grow a personality. She truly has the sweetest spirit. We just couldn't imagine our lives without her.


One year ago today, we were checking into Presby Allen, waiting for the big moment. Samantha Neva made her entrance at 12:08pm, weighing 7lbs 6oz and 19 1/2 in long. She was beautiful then and we still think she is today.

She definitely, has her daddy's eyes. The jury is still out on who she looks more like. When it is just the 2 of us, people tell me how much she looks like me. When all 3 of us are together, we get mixed reviews. About half the people say Todd and half say me. Personally, I think she is a pretty good mix. However, when I look a pics of my sisters kids, she looks a lot like them. Who knows. I guess she really just is Sam. That seems to be the name that has stuck with her. Every once in a while we call her Sami, but more often than not we go with Sam.
They had a little party for her yesterday at school. She made the cutest little card. Today we will spend celebrating Sam. We started the day with pancakes, eggs and a glass of milk. (she decided yesterday that she no longer wanted bottles. She has refused the last two days to take a bottle at all. We were going to slowly cut back and just finish the last formula that we had. I guess she has different plans) We spent sometime at the park before it got crazy cold and windy. She loves to be outside!! Then we had lunch with daddy at On the Border. We are having her party on Sunday, with family and friends.
