Sam's Birthday Party and Easter

So I am a little delayed with this post but better late than never:)Sam had a great 1st birthday party. Thanks to everyone. You really helped to make it so special. Not that she really knew what was going on, but she will one day be able to look back and enjoy it. You guys were so generous!! As one of my friends put it, she got the entire children's department at Penny's and Kohls:)She is set and ready to go for spring and summer!!
I decided to end her first year with the same theme we started with - Paris and Poodles. I found a really cute set of plates from 1st Wishes. I gave one to my sister and she made the cutest cake with it!! She also made Sam a smash cake. She never really dug into it, but she made a little dent on one corner:) She had black frosting all over her face. I am not sure that she really knew what to think. I know first birthdays are pretty much all about the parents, really the mom, but they are one of my favorite things. One day she will appreciate the effort. By that time we will be doing them else where so there is not house cleaning involved:)
Here are a few pics from the day.

Below are a few pics from her first Easter, and this year blue bonnet pics. She had two egg hunts this year. One in our neighborhood and the other at my sisters neighbor's house. She really got into it at Heidi's house. We also got together with Lisa, Kylie and Maggie to make Easter cookies. Sam enjoyed playing outside with Kylie:))She was just too cute. Here are a few pics to enjoy.

She is getting braver and braver these days with the walking. We haven't been able to catch her doing it by herself on video, but that will come soon enough. She walks across the room, and then when she realizes it, she stops, points at you and laughs. We also started watching sesame street this week. I thought she might be a little young yet, but I guess not. She watches while she eats breakfast and she laughs and laughs at all the characters.
On another note, I dropped my cell phone in a bowl of water in the sink on Tuesday. We tried drying it out in a bag of rice, but no such luck. I took it to Verizon and they tried to dry it some more. I ended up having to get a replacement phone and unfortunately, all my info was lost - Sucky sucky!! My advice to you is use WEB BACKUP. did not know it existed, and apparently i had it. i just never activated it on my phone. You better believe that it is active now:)) So now I am having to rebuild my entire contacts list - which is a total pain in the behind.
