We survived the weekend and Bounce U is officially opened for business. Last week was so crazy. There was only one night that we made it to bed by midnight. The rest were 3 or 4 in the morning and then up again by 6. It was a crazy, exhausting week. We were so blessed by all the people that kept Sam and came by the store to help us get the little things done. We would have been lost without you all. Todd's parents came in on Wednesday night. His dad ended up being a life saver in helping us get all the finishing touches taken care of, and nice to know that Sam was in good hands with Grammy. Thursday, our corporate trainer arrived at 11. Todd was still up on a ladder trying to get the sound system working. By the grace of God we passed our inspection. Although, I am not sure how. We were missing 2 pieces of equipment. One of them, the people forgot to ship and the other one was being held hostage by UPS. It was such a nightmare, but late Friday evening, they finally came in. Our staff all arrived ready to learn on Thursday. We have a great staff!! We are both very pleased with the group. We still have a few bugs to work out of the system, but I think they will be great. On Friday, we spent the day correcting the items that needed attention, and getting ready for our desk manager training on Friday. We could not leave on Friday, until we had it all together. We had 2 training parties on Saturday, so it was a long night. One of the parties was for the Wylie's son Foster. Linda is our hall supervisor on Sundays when we work the nursery. The other was an adoption party for the Hollman family. In Nov, their adoption of McKinley, Reagan and Kennedy became official and in Nov their adoption of Carter was finalized. It was such a great celebration for them, and we were so happy to be a part of it.
Overall the parties went well, and we went home and crashed HARD!!! Todd's parents were still here, so we got to sleep in. My body really needed it. Sunday, Todd and his dad went back over to the store and took care of a few more odds and ends. We are still having some major sound system issues. Unfortunately, we were not able to get them sorted out 100%, but we at least had music for today.
This morning, Todd and I got up early and delivered food to my client and then headed over to the store for our first day of business. We have 70 kiddos in for the CECPTA private bounce event. and then we had about 40 or so in this afternoon for another open bounce session. I was very pleased with turn out. especially, since we planned these events last minute. I realized last Thursday, that the Carrollton schools were out today and tomorrow. My Chick-Fil-A vendor was wonderful and allowed us to send home fliers in all of their bags this weekend, and my pizza vendor sent stuff home on the box tops. We also took a few kiddos to the MLK parade on Sat to pass out fliers and tattoos. In the end it paid off. We will see what kind of a turn out we get tomorrow. In the midst of last weeks craziness, our PR firm set up an interview withthe carrollton leader for me. They come out tomorrow to ake pictures and the article will run on Wednesday. Hopefully, I didn't say anything stupid:)
In the meantime, my child is growing up so fast. I think e are working on tooth #3, but who knows how long it will take to come through. I can see it on the top.
At Christmas, my sister gave her a stroller/walker. She was pulling up on it and, with help, she was taking a few steps. I gave it to her yesterday and she was zooming all over the house. It won't be long now - That's for sure!!
She hasn't figured out to turn it just yet, so she just goes straight until she runs into stuff. She has had a few accidents, but has so far come out unmarked. She has been a real trooper these last two weeks!!

Okay... I am losing my mind because I thought the grand opening was mid February? Anyway... Congrats! I know you are so glad to finally have it open and running.
And Wow! Look at Sam go! Even my good puller-uppers aren't doing that.
Good job on getting it done!! It looks great and sounds like it’s a success so far. I’m so glad you are using Chik-fil-a!!!
