Happy Thanksgiving and Birthday to Jenn

We hope everyone had a very Happy Thanksgiving. We had a house full all week. Jenn's mom came over Sunday night to help us clean up and get ready for the week. On Monday she dug up our flower beds and did our fall planting. HOW NICE!!!!! Jenn had plans to help, but her back has really been bothering her this last week. Not sure what the problem is, but be praying that it will get better. Anyway, thanks to Jenn's mom, we have beautiful pansies and ornamental cabbage, kale and mustard greens.

We also got started on the nursery this week. Jenn's friend Shannon came over on her school break and got us started. She is going to paint a mural on the nursery wall. Right now the room is a little too pink for our preference, but once everything is added, we are hoping it won't be so pink!!

My mom and dad came in town on Tuesday. Jenn and mom set out fabric shopping on Wednesday. Thanks mom and dad for the fabric. Jenn spent most of the previous week out on a hunt for the "Paris" fabric that is the "theme" for the nursery. Here are a few of the fabrics she plans to use, but my mom has the rest. She and Jenn are going to make the bedding. Mom is going to do the bumpers, dust ruffle, cover the glider and do the cushion for the window seat. Jenn is going to make the quilt. Jenn's sister is painting the dresser to go with the rest of the room. Now lets just pray they were not wrong in predicting the sex of our little girl:)

The rest of Jenn's family and my sister, from Houston, came in with her family on Thursday. We had a dual celebration this year since Jenn's b-day was Thanksgiving day. I fried the turkey and between, Jenn, her mom and my mom, we had quite the feast.
Turkey and dressing, green bean artichoke casserole, baked mirlitons, sweet and mashed potatoes, salad(WHY?), Bing cherry salad, pecan pie, pumpkin pie, birthday cake, a pumpkin roll. Can we say FAT!!!! Tanya made the pumpkin pie and Jenn's sister, Andrea, make the pumpkin roll and the pecan pie. All in all it was a good day. Thanks to everyone that called and made Jenn's day extra special. Jenn's parents gave her a pretty, Spode, turkey platter for her b-day. She got to put it to use that same day. Mom and dad gave her a pretty new cross, that I am sure she will have me hanging soon (that means Jenn Time)The rest of the week we spent looking at houses with my parents, putting away fall decorations and getting out the Christmas ones. I also worked on my nursery homework:)
Besides Jenn's b-day, the highlight of her weekend was that her cult, the Texas A&M Aggies, rolled over the longhorns of t.u. (what a great present for her) I wasn't to happy about that, as my LSU Tigers also lost in triple overtime.

As far as we can tell all is going well with "FIFI". Not that is not her name, but it will do for now. Jenn's friends said since she has a Paris room, she needs a French name. We have Jillian to thank for FIFI. In case you are wondering, we do not have any names yet. Hopefully after we get through the holidays, we will have some time to start thinking about that. We have another appointment this week with the peri and will have a sono. Fifi loves to kick at night when we lay down in bed. So far it is not a bother to Jenn, but I am sure that will change!!
If anyone has a little extra time during Dec, and is interested in helping Jenn, she has a very full party calendar for December. Now that I am working, I am not able to help out as much. I know she would appreciate you help.
