Another Black Eye

It is sad but true, Sam has a new black eye. This one was all my fault. Todd was responsible for the last one:) My neighbor, Tracie, gave me her elliptical machine to use. Today, after I picked Sam up, I decided to give it a go. Sam was very curious, so I let her explore before I started. She went on her marry way and I made sure she was playing far enough away - apparently not!! She was good until she bent over and planted her face into the forward moving petal! She cried and cried, and it immediately turned puffy and purple. I got her some ice for it , and she sat in my lap cuddling(that was the nice part, because she never does that) for about 30 min or so. I felt so awful. Lesson learned - only exercise when she is napping or already off to bed for the night. I will get a picture of it tomorrow.

On another note, I am working on redecorating the gameroom for her. We sold the couches, coffee and end table. I also cleaned out a TON of junk. It will be going out with tomorrows trash. Room by room I will tackle it all. Now I just have to pick a gender neutral color and theme. They have some really cute ideas in the new pottery barn kids catalog. I got all her toys moved up, and she loves being able to go up and play. Now we just have to learn how to keep the toys upstairs. She likes to watch them roll down the stairs:) The good note is that she is really learning how to help clean up. She is slow, but she usually gets 2 or 3 things picked up and put back before she looses interest.
